If youâre a beginner in the world of paid surveys and making money online, youâll frequently see the same popular survey sites pop up in suggestions; the likes of Swagbucks, YouGov, and Valued Opinions, for instance. In fact, even if youâve been on the âsurvey sceneâ for years, you still may not have come across this âhidden gemâ mobile app that earns you easy money every month.
The app in question: OnePulse. OnePulse is a free mobile app that features mini quick-fire surveys known as âPulsesâ. Each Pulse typically consists of around 1-5 questions, meaning a Pulse can be answered in just a few seconds straight from your phone. Topics will vary, but OnePulse tends to feature more fun and engaging questions compared to other sites, such as asking you about your favourite films, or to help name an upcoming supermarket dessert.

How Does OnePulse Work?
Itâs super-simple (and free) to start earning money with OnePulse:
-
Download and Sign Up: First, you need to download the OnePulse app from your app store (available on both iOS and Android). Once installed, youâll create an account and fill out your profile. This information helps OnePulse match you with relevant surveys.
-
Receive Pulses: OnePulse will send you notifications for new surveys, known as Pulses. These surveys are typically very short, consisting of just a few questions that can be answered in seconds. Youâll need to be quick, as each Pulse fills up often within a few minutes.
-
Answer and Earn: Each Pulse you complete earns you points, which can be converted into cash or other rewards. The more surveys you take, the more points you accumulate.
-
Level Up: OnePulse has a unique point system where your earning rate increases as you complete more surveys. This means that the longer you use the app, the more money youâll earn from each survey.
- Redeem Rewards: Once youâve accumulated enough points, you can redeem them for cash via PayPal. The payment usually arrives immediately, and thereâs no PayPal fee.
6 reasons why I recommend OnePulse for busy mums
1) Payment is instant
You donât have to wait for surveys to be approved before you get paid – the money gets put immediately into your account once you finish each survey. And when you hit the minimum $20 cash out, the money is sent to your PayPal instantly. There are some downsides to OnePulseâs payment system: you canât cash out before you reach $20, and you can only cash out once every 30 days. But I personally think these are outweighed by how easy the app is to use, and how entertaining the questions are.
2) You get paid more the more you use the app
Itâs clearly a tactic to get you to use the app on a regular basis – and you know what? It works. When you first sign up, youâll be a Level 1 user, and youâll earn 7 cents per survey. But as you answer more surveys, youâll earn experience points to build your level. If you answer as many surveys as you can, youâll rise the levels quickly, until youâre earning 40 cents per survey. This means using the app more makes it easier and quicker for you to earn money. If youâre earning 40 cents a survey, you could easily earn several pounds in just a few minutes on busy days. It may sound like a slog, but moving up the levels becomes a game in itself, and doesnât take as long as you might think.
3) You get paid via PayPal
Some survey sites only offer payment in the form of gift cards – which is great if youâre looking to treat yourself somewhere specific, but not if youâre saving for a holiday or simply want the freedom of cash. Instead, OnePulse pays you via PayPal, and they take on the PayPal fee so you donât lose any of your hard-earned money. You do get paid in dollars, as OnePulse is owned by an American company, but PayPay will convert this to pounds or your local currency for you.

4) OnePulse is super easy to use
Even if you consider yourself to be a techwhiz, there are some survey apps and sites that are so packed full of money-making opportunities you donât know where to start – and those sites that, well, are just too poorly designed to even try and work out whatâs going on. OnePulse on the other hand is really simple to use, so itâs perfect for beginners or simply busy mums who donât have the time to Einstein their way around yet another platform. You can start earning money without needing a tutorial or spending time learning complicated features, although their customer service is great, and there are plenty of helpful OnePulse users online who are happy to help.
5) Itâs entirely phone-based – no need for a computer.
The beauty of OnePulse is that you can do everything straight from your phone. No need to sit down at a computer or laptop â just grab your phone, complete a few Pulses, and youâll have earned a few bob. Itâs perfect for completing surveys on the go, over a cup of coffee, or in front of the sofa in the evening.
6) It only takes a few minutes a day
OnePulse is designed with busy schedules (and mums!) in mind. Pulses are incredibly short, often taking just a few seconds to complete. This means you can quickly answer a survey in between your daily tasks without disrupting your schedule, or being glued to your phone all day. Survey screenouts are incredibly rare (where you complete a few questions, only to find your answers didnât match their desired demographics, and you get kicked out of the survey with no payment). So, if you commit to answering a survey, 99% of the time youâll be able to complete it successfully and get paid.
There isnât an endless stream of surveys, and the amount you get on a daily basis will fluctuate. Some days I might have ten or more surveys to answer, and then just one or two the day after. OnePulse isnât going to make you rich, but stick at it and you will earn an incredibly easy $20 each and every month with very little effort!
The final verdict:
OnePulse is a fantastic app to add to your survey toolkit. While it doesnât offer the money-earning potential for it to be your main source of online income, itâll still earn you a bit of extra pocket money every month without you needing to spend much time on the app at all.Â
